How to write a review
You can review any event you've participated in.

Find the event
Search for the event on Sporting Scouter or follow an invitation link from the organiser.

Rate the event
Score the event across seven categories using the rating sliders.

Write your feedback
Add a written review sharing what went well and what could be improved.

Your review goes through a short approval process to ensure quality.
Rating categories explained
Each event is rated across seven categories. Here's what each one means.
Communication
How well the organiser communicated before, during, and after the event. Includes pre-event information, on-the-day updates, and post-event follow-up.
Provisions
The quality of food, drink, and supplies provided. Includes water stations, nutrition, and any post-event refreshments.
Assistance
The support available during the event. Includes marshals, medical staff, course markings, and general helpfulness of the team.
Merchandise
The quality of event merchandise such as t-shirts, medals, finisher packs, and race goodies.
Fair Play
How fairly the event was run. Includes timing accuracy, rule enforcement, and equal treatment of all participants.
Sustainability
The event's environmental practices. Includes waste management, use of reusable materials, and efforts to reduce environmental impact.
Security
How safe the event felt. Includes course safety, crowd management, emergency preparedness, and general security measures.
Review guidelines
To keep reviews helpful and trustworthy, please follow these guidelines.
Do
Be honest and specific about your experience.
Mention what went well, not just what went wrong.
Include practical details that would help another athlete decide.
Rate each category based on your actual experience.
Don't
Include personal attacks or offensive language.
Review an event you didn't actually attend.
Submit duplicate reviews for the same event.
Include promotional content or links to other services.
Review status
After you submit a review, it goes through a short approval process.
Your review is waiting to be checked. This usually takes less than 24 hours.
Your review is live and visible to everyone.

Review invitations
Organisers can send you a direct invitation to review their event.
If you receive an invitation link (usually by email), click it to go straight to the review form for that event. The link is unique to you and confirms your participation.
